Learning "How to Draw"

The "How" is accomplished through Verbalization, Demonstration and Repetition. Students are told and shown on their own work how to complete each step in the artistic process.

Nothing is left to assumption. The most important part of the learning process is finding a teacher that is patient, has mastered and done the things being taught, and loves to share this gift with all who yearn to learn.

Jane teaches in the Apprenticeship Style that she learned as a child. Each child is shown how to develop sketching techniques that coordinate the eye and hand. Students obtain accurate perspective, shadowing and dimension.

After the basics, every child works on something different, in their own field of interest. This propels the project to completion, ready to frame.
